Hours after he was granted bail, former telecom minister A Raja celebrated his freedom by distributing sweets at Tihar prison's sub-jail 1.
Hours after he was granted bail, former telecom minister A Raja celebrated his freedom by distributing sweets at Tihar prison's sub-jail 1.
"Raja returned to Tihar from the court around 4pm. He was ecstatic on getting the bail. He shook hands and hugged several of his co-inmates," said a jail source.

The release order came at 5.45pm, according to Tihar's spokesperson Sunil Gupta. Later, Raja thanked jail officials and a few security personnel belonging to the Tamil Nadu Special Police.
During his long stay, Raja was known to be a "friendly, accessible character who loved badminton, followed news programmes and took Hindi lessons from co-inmates", said the source.
