Teenager rapes 5-year-old in Gurgaon, sent to juvenile home

The city police have booked a 13 year old boy for raping a five-year-old girl on Friday. He was produced in front of the duty magistrate who directed the police to send him to a juvenile home in Faridabad.

A rape case was registered at the city police station on Friday on the basis of a complaint filed by family members of the victim. The medical examination of the victim had confirmed rape.

Police said that the victim and the accused were neighbours in Gandhi Nagar. The victim is a resident of Bihar and has been living in Gurgaon for the past three years.

The accused is a native of Uttar Pradesh and has been living with his parents in Gurgaon for the last five years, the police said. On Friday evening, the victim was playing on the staircase when the accused took her to a bathroom on the ground floor and raped her. When she resisted, he threatened her, said the police.

Later, the boy fled and the victim was spotted by her mother. She was found lying in a pool of blood and was crying in pain, said the police.

ACP (city) Ramesh Pal said, “The mother of the victim immediately informed her husband who works in an export house and they took the girl to a private hospital.

Later, she was referred to the Civil hospital and the police was informed. We took prompt action and detained the boy. He has been sent to a government-run juvenile home in Faridabad.”
