delhi Updated: Aug 22, 2010 23:51 IST

A man claiming to be a "terrorist" was arrested with a knife and a can of petrol from Terminal 3 of IGI airport.

Rajkumar (27), was apprehended by the CISF at around 2 pm today when he reached the terminal and threatened to cause damage by claiming he was a "terrorist", officials said.

"A knife and half litre can of petrol was recovered from his bag and he has been handed over to Delhi Police,” a senior airport officer said.

"He seems to be mentally unstable," the officer added.

The officer said Rajkumar also threatened the CISF guards with suicide but was overpowered at gate number 3 of the new terminal.

Further probe is on.
