Delhi Police on Wednesday continued their identification of a woman, referred to as 'Katty ' by Congress MP Shashi Tharoor’s help Narayan Singh in his official statement to the sub-divisional magistrate.

Micro blogging website Twitter, too, picked up the name and was abuzz with guesses regarding the identity of the woman.

Hindustan Times is withholding the identity of the woman till she is officially identified by the police.

One of the names doing the rounds is that of a woman on Twitter who claims to be an aspiring UN diplomat who coined the term, Tharoorian.

Singh in his statement to the sub-divisional magistrate last year had claimed that the couple had fought over a woman named Katty.

Meanwhile, Sanjay Dewan a family friend of the Tharoor’s - who was at the hotel on the day of the incident - told reporters that they were a happy couple.

“I have known Shashi Tharoor, after he got married to Sunanda. For what I have known of them, they were a happy couple. Yes, they did have little tiffs now and then like every couple, but to my knowledge, there was nothing which could be termed as a fight,” Dewan said.

Asked whether Sunanda was suffering from Lupus or any other ailment Dewan stated: “Not to my knowledge.” Dewan claimed that he had been questioned thrice by the police.
