A 60-year-old man and his two sons were arrested for allegedly beating up three men. The police said the three accused were involved in an incident of road rage in the Punjabi Bagh area of west Delhi.

The incident was reported on Saturday night when a Santro car grazed past a Chevrolet car on the Punjabi Bagh flyover. The accused in the Chevrolet car chased the Santro, overtook the vehicle, then allegedly manhandled the occupants.

The accused told the police they beat them up as they passed lewd comments against the women present in the Chevrolet.

The accused have been identified as Amrish, Vipul and Anshul Gupta. Gupta’s wife, daughter-in-law and grandchild were also present in the car.

“We have arrested the three, but they told us that the three men in the Santro car passed lewd comments against the women which flared up the matter,” said Sharad Aggarwal, Deputy Commissioner of Police (West).

The officer added that they were investigating the claims. Those injured in the incident have been identified as Sarfaraz and Chirag.
