The Special Cell of Delhi Police has arrested three persons and recovered narcotics worth Rs 4 crore from them.
The police said they have recovered 2.75 kg of heroin which the accused had brought from Bihar and Jharkhand. Also, 1kg of phenobarbital was recovered from them. “The accused have been identified as Raheesh (24), Amit (22) and Rafique (30). They were arrested from Inder Enclave in Nangloi.
Following a tip-off, Amit was overpowered near a house and 500gm of heroin recovered from him. During the search of the house, his associate Raheesh was apprehended. He was also found in possession of 750gm of heroin and 1kg phenobarbital,” LN Rao, additional DCP (special cell) said.
“They used to supply heroin procured from Rafique to many parties in Punjab and small drug peddlers,” Rao added.
Rafique in his interrogation told the police that he has been in the trade for the past 10 years.
