A day after the Faridabad deputy commissioner cleaned the toilets of a government school during an inspection on Thursday, the education department has jumped into action to keep the premises clean.
Officials convened a meeting of principals and head masters of all government educational institutions the same day when deputy commissioner Praveen Kumar surprised everyone by cleaning the toilets of Government Girls Secondary School in Old Faridabad after the students complained that there's just one sweeper to clean the toilets.
"The act of a deputy commissioner cleaning the toilet is certainly going to change mindset of over 1.50 lakh students studying in 384 schools in Faridabad, besides the teaching community," said Rajeev Arora, Faridabad district education officer.
"We have decided to follow in his footsteps and motivate our students not only to keep their campus clean but also to start a massive plantation drive."
