Tough choice for journalism aspirants as entrance dates clash

The students this year are facing a tough time choosing the entrance exams to appear for. While it is not a case of being spoilt for choice, entrance exam dates of Journalism and Mass communication for Delhi University (DU) and Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), respectively are clashing.

The students this year are facing a tough time choosing the entrance exams to appear for. While it is not a case of being spoilt for choice, entrance exam dates of Journalism and
Mass communication for Delhi University (DU) and Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), respectively are clashing.

Both the entrances have been scheduled for May 27. While DU starts its exam at 9.30am, GGSIPU has scheduled it at 10.30am.

Professors at DU claim that efforts are being made to negotiate on the dates to avoid any inconvenience to the students. “Both exams are on the same date and we are now trying to resolve the matter amicably between the two universities,” said Tarjeet Sabharwal, professor, Delhi College of Arts and Commerce.

However, GGSIPU seems to be divided in opinion on the matter, claiming that no such changes will take place. “We released our dates first and will not entertain any changes,” said GGSIPU spokesperson.
