The Delhi Police on Tuesday claimed to have busted an inter-state racket supplying illicit liquor with the arrest of two persons and seized 366 litres of liquor.
South District Police arrested Parvesh Rawat and Prehlad after police intercepted their vehicles and checked them.
"They tried to run away to evade the arrest but the alert team members immediately overpowered them after chasing them for two km," a senior police official said. He said the accused were carrying 366 litres of illicit liquor for supply in various parts of Delhi.
"During the course of further investigation, it was revealed that accused belonged to wider network of interstate racket indulging in supply of illicit liquor in the garb of private vehicles carrying family members," the official said.
