Two cars snatched in 24 hours

Two incidents of car jacking were reported in the city in the past 24 hours. In the first incident, a Swift car was snatched by four men near Anand Vihar bus terminal, around 1 am on Friday, police said reports HT Correspondent.

Two incidents of car jacking were reported in the city in the past 24 hours.

In the first incident, a Swift car was snatched by four men near Anand Vihar bus terminal, around 1 am on Friday, police said.

“Three men, who were in an Indica, intercepted the Swift near the bus terminal. Two armed men got into the Indica. They drove till Vijay Nagar in Ghaziabad where they dumped the driver and fled the scene,” said KC Dwivedi, ACP (east).

A Tavera was snatched near Jungpura flyover in Hazrat Nizamuddin area around 11 pm on Thursday, police said. The men were in an Indica car again, police said.

In both incidents, a case was registered at Madhu Vihar and Hazrat Nizamuddin police station, respectively. Police said it was suspecting the role of the same gang in both cases.
