Two people were arrested in connection with a clash between two groups in south Delhi two days back in which two youths were stabbed to death and another lynched.

The police said Amit (24) and Kuldeep (23) were arrested while eight other accused are absconding.

The incident took place in Yakubpura area in Chirag Delhi area.

Vikas Shandilya (19) and his cousin Vijender (27) had an altercation with another group of locals over the choice of music to be played at a marriage party on Thursday, which resulted in the attack and subsequent murders on Friday night.

The rival group stabbed Vikas and Vijay to death, while the victim’s relatives managed to catch hold of Sumit, who was lynched.

Around 15 people had barged into the residence of Vikas on Friday night and started beating up Vikas. Then Vijender and his other cousins came to his rescue.

However, a clash ensued and both the groups used iron rods and knives.

While all the other members of the group that attacked Shandilya escaped, Sumit was apparently caught by locals who mercilessly beat him up.
