Two killed in road accidents across capital

Two persons were killed and another injured in two separate accidents reported from different parts of the city in the last 48 hours.

Two persons were killed and another injured in two separate accidents reported from different parts of the city in the last 48 hours.

In the first accident, a 28-year-old man was killed, while his friend suffered injuries after a Tata 407 mini truck hit them from behind in south Delhi’s Okhla industrial area.

The deceased, Rahul Mishra, hailed from Uttar Pradesh’s Sultanpur district and worked as a labourer in the area.

The accident took place late on Monday night when Mishra and his friend Ajay Singh were walking on the road in Okhla Phase-I industrial area. A case of rash driving and causing death by negligence has been registered against the truck’s driver.

The second incident was reported from Shahdara, where a 50-year-old man lost his life after being hit by an unknown vehicle on Tuesday night. According to police, the victim, Arjun was heading home on his Scooty when the accident happened.
