An auto-rickshaw driver lost his life while two passengers suffered minor injuries after a taxi hit the vehicle near the KG-Ferozshah Marg crossing on Friday morning.
The accident took place around 6.40 am and the deceased was identified as Durga Prasad. A case of rash and negligent driving was registered at the Parliament Street police station against the taxi driver, Gurbachan Singh. The police said it was a head-on-collision.
In the second accident, a 35-year-old man was killed while another injured after a mini truck (Tata 407) rammed a Hyundai Accent from the front in south Delhi's Fatehpur Beri area on Thursday morning.
The deceased, Jag Pratap Singh, a native of Faridabad, was driving the car. The helper of the mini truck, Gopal, was injured. The truck driver, Vinod Kumar, escaped unhurt and was later arrested.
An FIR was registered against Kumar on the statement of sub-inspector Deep Sharma, who was leading a patrolling team behind the car.
