Two shot at during engagement ceremony

According to the police, the incident took place at 11.30pm on Thursday when the accused, identified as Bane Singh, and his friends were seen misbehaving with some of the girls who were dancing at the party.
The victims have been identified as Ram Nidhan, 27, and Sunil Kumar, 16. They, along with some of their friends, tried to stop the accused and creating ruckus during the function. After this, a heated argument broke out between them, the police said.
The officer said the accused and his friends had come to attend the engagement ceremony of Vipin, son of a local property dealer Raj Bahadur.
The police have registered a case and are looking for Singh, who fled the spot after the incident.
