Saifi Villa in Gujarat's Dandi Memorial where Mahatma Gandhi had spent a night during his historic Dandi March and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine in Jammu and Kashmir are among the important green buildings in the country.

"Solar energy systems have been installed at Saifi Villa at Dandi Memorial, Gujarat, Raj Bhawan and State Assembly in Raipur, Chattisgarh, Safdarjung Tomb and Jantar Mantar in Delhi and at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine, Katra, Jammu and Kashmir," said New and Renewable Energy Minister Farooq Abdullah in Lok Sabha on Saturday.

He said so far 37 projects including Parliament House, Ajmer's Dargah Sharif Dargah Khwaja Saheb, Golden Temple Complex in Amritsar and Delhi's Tihar Prison Complex have been supported by the ministry under the scheme.
