With every vote counting for the NDA to defeat the government in parliament, BJP patriarch Atal Bihari Vajpayee will cast his ballot in the confidence motion on July 22 and special arrangements are being made to enable the ailing leader to do so.
Vajpayee, who is unwell and has been keeping away from public functions for months, will visit parliament on July 22. But instead of entering Lok Sabha, where he represents Lucknow constituency, the BJP leader will cast his vote from the lobby.
"Vajpayeeji will come to Parliament. He is having some health problems. So we have discussed it with the Speaker and secretary general and arrangements have been made for him to vote from the inner house or the lobby," he said.
Vajpayee has kept away from public appearances -- except for some photo sessions -- and did not even attend his birthday celebrations on December 25, 2007.
