These facts came to light in a report filed by the Tihar Jail authorities in Delhi High Court on Thursday in response to a court direction.
A Bench of justice Gita Mittal and justice VK Shali had given the direction, following a complaint filed by Nitish’s mother Neelam Katara that the main accused Yadav and Vishal Yadav where getting preferential treatment unlike other convicts in the jail. As per the report, Vishal had two stints in Batra Hospital after being admitted for check up. In 2009, Vishal went for a longer stay to Batra Hospital, where he was admitted once for a span of three months and two months each. He was admitted to the hospital once again in 2010 for a period of two months.
During its earlier hearing, the court had wanted to know if jail authorities allow this facility to other prisoners. The court will hear the matter on February 24.
