The Capital remained warm on the weekend, even though the Met department had predicted light rainfall leading to a fall in temperature.
On Sunday, the maximum temperature touched 24 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature 12 degree Celsius.
With temperature remaining two degrees above normal, it was one of the warmest days of the season. A maximum temperature of 24.9 degrees Celsius was recorded at Lodhi Road in the Capital.
“A clear sky on Sunday made the weather pleasant for Delhiites. There was light rain in parts of the national Capital region on Saturday and Sunday,” said BP Yadav, director-forecast, IMD.
According to the Met department, there will be a slight fall in the temperature on Monday with a possibility of cloudy conditions. The temperature will remain around 20 degree Celsius throughout the week.
“On Monday, cloudy conditions may develop and there could be light rainfall on Tuesday. We expect partly cloudy sky with possibility of thunder in some areas. There will be slight drop in the night temperature as well,” added Yadav.
The Met department has predicted that the mornings throughout the week could remain misty, which will further lead to a dip in the temperature.
“Rain and snow at several places in Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and a few places in Uttarakhand will reflect on the climate in Delhi,” Yadav said.
