The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) might play spoilsport this football season by snapping cable lines that have been put illegally in many areas.
For those living in MCD area and having a cable connection at home, chances are that your cable line will be disconnected after June 30.
The civic agency has issued a public notice asking cable operators and Internet service providers in its jurisdiction to remove wires hanging on street poles. The civic agency has directed the service providers to shift all these wires underground by the end of June.
There are three lakh street poles in MCD area out of which 60 per cent are used for cable connections.
