It was a cloudy and humid day in the Capital on Saturday with the maximum temperature settling at 34 degrees Celsius. The Met office has forecast rains for Sunday.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the skies will again be cloudy on Sunday and parts of the city may get rain. "The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 34 and 26 degrees Celsius," said the IMD.
Saturdays' minimum temperature was 24.8 degrees, average for the season, while the humidity levels wavered between a 97 and 74%.
A total of 507.3 mm rain has been recorded in Delhi since the outbreak of monsoon this year. The rain deficit so far is 16% with the monsoon expected to last in the city till Sep 20.
