The West Delhi police have arrested the wife of a businessman and her boyfriend in connection with Thursday’s murder in Rajouri Garden.

Sumit Kaur (28) not only allegedly plotted her husband’s murder, she also strangulated him while her “boyfriend” repeatedly stabbed him.

All because she hated the fact that her husband Jagmohan Singh Kohli kept a tab on her movements, police said.

Kohli, who owned a rubber motor parts shop in Anand Parbat, was found murdered in his house early on Thursday morning.

Kaur had claimed four assailants had entered the house and demanded Rs 4 lakh from her husband before killing him when he refused.

Kaur and “boyfriend” Puneet Sachdeva (31) have been arrested. Both, the police said, had reasons to kill Kohli.

Kaur wanted a way out of the marriage and Sachdeva owed money to Kohli.

The police said Kohli and Kaur used to lived one block away from each other in Rajouri Garden. They fell in love in when they were school students and married nine years ago.

But the couple had been facing problems for the last three years, the police said.

“Kohli suspected Kaur of being close to one of his friends and started to keep a close eye on her. She did not like it,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Sharad Aggarwal.
