Asking for a lift proved fatal for a young woman in north-west Delhi.
The woman, said to be in her mid-twenties, was charred to death in Bawana early this morning as the car she was travelling in caught fire.
The incident took place at around 5:30 am and the identity of the woman is yet to be established.
The woman asked for a lift from Surendra Rana (30) and his sister Nirmal (28).
However, the car rammed into a divider soon and caught fire.
Rana and Nirmal somehow managed to get out of the car but the woman remained trapped inside.
A fire tender was rushed to the spot which doused the fire. She was rushed to Babu Jagjivan Ram Hospital where she was declared brought dead.
