Two petty criminals will regret messing with Meenakshi Garg for a long time. Garg, 36, took on two armed robbers and helped the police nab them. Police commissioner Y.S. Dadwal on Wednesday announced a reward of R 50,000 for Garg's bravery.

According to the police, Rinku Kumar (24) and Lokesh (19) allegedly barged into her Vishwas Nagar residence on Tuesday at 2 p.m.

"They held me at gun point and tried to gag and rob me," said Garg.

The police said while trying to gag Garg, Rinku dropped his country-made pistol. When he bent down to pick up the weapon, Garg raised an alarm.

"My neighbours and other people gathered outside my house. They then nabbed the two men and handed them over to the police," added Garg.

The police said the accused were bad characters and were earlier involved in several petty crimes.

The two accused hail from Bulandshahr.
