The missing woman has been identified as Jaswinder Kaur and she had come to Delhi with her husband Amardeep Singh to attend the wedding of her sister-in-law. Singh had asked Kaur over phone to come near Adarsh Nagar Metro station. "She left her relative's house but did not reach the destined place. When she did not turn up, Singh - who runs a garment shop in Karnal, made several calls on her phone, but she did not respond," said a police officer.

Singh became worried and asked some local residents if they had seen any woman coming towards the Metro station. One of them told him that a ladies purse, a mobile phone and slippers was lying in a nearby lane.

Singh went to the place and identified that those were his wife's belongings. He immediately made a PCR call about the incident. A case has been registered, said the officer. HTC
