A 25-year-old woman working in a private call centre was allegedly raped by four persons, one of whom had assured her to help her get a job in a private company in Badarpur area in south Delhi. Out of the four accused, three are mini-bus drivers while the fourth is a bus cleaner.
The police on Wednesday arrested two of the mini-bus drivers after the victim lodged a complaint at the Badarpur police station. They have been identified as Suraj and Deepu.
Efforts are on to nab the third mini-bus driver and the cleaner who are absconding after the incident. The absconding accused includes the mini bus driver who had promised the victim that he would help her get a job with a salary around Rs 10,000.
According to a police officer, the victim is married but was living separately from her husband in Pul Prahladpur area for the past few months.
“On Sunday, the absconding mini-bus driver had taken her to a private company in Badarpur for the job where the other accused were already present. They forcibly took her to an isolated place and took turns to rape her. They also threatened to kill her if she told anybody about the incident,” said the officer, quoting the victim’s complaint.
