A 22-year-old woman was shot at by her alleged stalker in north Delhi’s Rohini on Monday.

The woman had filed a complaint against the attacker. The attacker had, in turn, threatened her of dire consequences if she did not withdraw her complaint.

“Manju was shot at by Ishwar Singh, her neighbour in Rohini Sector-3. The incident took place at 4pm, when Manju was walking outside her house. Singh, who was on bike, fired bullets at her,” a senior police officer said.

Manju was rushed to a nearby hospital where her condition was said to be stable.

She has suffered bullet injuries in one of her thighs.

The police said that on May 11 last year, Manju had filed a complaint of stalking and molestation against her neighbour.

Singh, who runs a shoe factory in the area, is missing and a case of attempt to murder has been registered against him.
