A 24-year-old youth was crushed to death by a Blueline bus while he was stepping down from it in the Capital, police said on Monday.
Aslam, a resident of Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh, was killed after he came under the rear wheel of the bus Monday morning near Patiala House court.
According to police, Aslam lost his balance while stepping down from the bus and fell onto the road before being crushed by the bus plying on route number 335 between Hauz Khas and Nand Nagri. He died on the spot.
Bus driver Santosh is absconding.
Aslam has become the 71st victim this year of the privately-run Blueline buses, which killed at least 120 people last year.
