Kites has been slotted to release next year now! The film has generated enough heat thanks to the rumoured affair of Barbara Mori and Hrithik Roshan. And also there is a history of year-end releases doing well at box-office. So why did Rakesh Roshan change his mind?
Well, the
filmmaker wants to mark the 10 years of his son's innings in Bollywood by releasing
Kites in January. Hrithik's debut film
Kaho Na Pyaar Hai released in January 2000 and Hrithik became a superstar overnight.
Kites is now releasing on January 15, 2010, exactly 10 years after Hrithik's first film was released.
