Highlight Story

The admission process, for almost 24,000 engineering and architecture seats all over India, for students who cleared the All India Engineering Entrance Examination went online for the first time.

The online admission system will do away with the need for students to travel to different colleges to determine where they will get admission and to which course exactly.

The process covers seats at all 20 National Institutes of Technology, five Indian Institutes of Information Technology, 11 central and state-funded universities, and 19 self-financed institutes.

The process will affect around 1.85 lakh students who will be competing for admission to around 25,000 seats. Students who have already cleared the AIEEE and declared eligible for central counselling will have to register online between June 8 and June 28, and verify their personnel credentials such as Category, Sub category, State of Eligibility, Gender and address for communication.
