AP SSC results 2018 declared, 94% students clear exam
The Andhra Pradesh SSC exam results were declared on Sunday evening. Out of 6,17,484 students who appeared for it this year, as many as 6,13,378 students were regular students and the remaining wrote the exam as private candidates.
Girls gained a slight edge over boys in the Secondary School Certificate Examinations (Class 10) conducted by Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh in March this year.
Andhra Pradesh minister for higher education Ganta Srinivasa Rao and Commissioner of School Education K Sandhya Rani released the results in Visakhapatnam on Sunday evening.

Out of 6,17,484 students who appeared for the SSC examinations this year, as many as 6,13,378 students were regular students and the remaining wrote the examination as private candidates.
Among the regular students, 94.48 per cent were declared passed. While boys recorded a pass percentage of 94.41, girls achieved a slightly better result with 94.56 per cent pass percentage. The performance of students in AP is much better than last year which recorded a pass percentage of 91.92 per cent.
Among the students who appeared in private, 78.35 per cent of them passed the examination, including 77.68 per cent of boys and 79.43 per cent of girls.
The exams were conducted from March 15, 2018 till March 29, 2018. In 2018, a total of 57,127 candidates had appeared for the SSC examination.
The regular students from 11,358 schools appeared for the SSC examination this year. Of them, 5,340 schools achieved 100 per cent results and only 17 schools registered zero per cent results.

Out of 13 districts, Prakasam with a pass percentage of 97.93 stood at the top and the neighbouring Nellore got the last position with 80.37 pass percentage.
The minister said out of the total number of students who cleared the examination this year, 29,921 students could get 10 GPA (Grade Point Average). They include 26,475 students from private schools and 3,446 from government schools.
The supplementary examination for failed students will be held from June 11 to 25 between 9.30 am and 12.15 pm. The last date for payment of fee for the supplementary examination is May 30.
