On their return after the cancellation of an army recruitment rally in Bikaner, aspirants created a ruckus at the railway station and bus stand in Nagaur on Sunday. The aspirants began to behave violently after police tried to stop them from travelling on rooftops of trains and buses on their way back home.

The aspirants looted fruit vendors, pelted stones at vehicles and misbehaved with the girls at the bus stand. Different groups of youth pelted stones at vehicles on road and damaged them after they disembarked from the rooftops of buses.

The unruly mob pelted stones at Bikaner- Jaipur inter- city train after police removed hundreds of youngsters who were travelling on bogies footsteps and not allowing other passengers from boarding the train.

A large number of candidates occupied seats in reserve compartments causing great inconvenience to the passengers. Police restored to lathi charge to disperse the unruly participants from railway stations. Seven people were injured in the incident.

“We had a tough time to contain the unruly youth that passed through our jurisdiction,” said Gordhan Lal, deputy superintendent of police, Nagaur. With some small incidents, the things passed off peacefully, he added.
