Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) declared the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) or Class 10 examination results on Tuesday. Ripunjoy Kalita of Gilbert English School, Pathsala in Barpeta district has stood first with 98%.

A total of 3,86,763 students appeared in the Class 10 examination this year out of which 51,046 passed in first division. The pass percentage is 62.2%.
Besides HSLC exam results, SEBA also declared the Assam High Madrassa (AHM) exam results on Tuesday. Khondakar Sohaib of Dhubri stood first in the AHM 2015 exam. The pass percentage in AHM exam was 69.6%.

SEBA conducted the HSLC or class 10 exams in the state from February 19 to March 12 this year.

The results were declared through seven websites but most of these websites were extremely slow one hour after the publication of results. Large numbers of students had to wait for several hours to get their results.

SEBA has been criticised by the students and the teachers as the body has failed to provide the mark sheets along with the results. "The mark sheets will be provided to all the schools within a week", said SEBA chairman SS Meenakshi Sundaram.
