Ambedkar University Delhi, in collaboration with the National Book Trust, plans to start a one-year PG diploma programme in publishing from the coming year. The one-year (two-semester) PG diploma in publishing is designed to develop a well-rounded professional in the field of publishing with inputs in administration/management, sales and marketing, promotions, editorial, design, production and distribution, and other related aspects of the publishing profession.
The programme will enable participants to become professionals who may want to work in book publishing because they understand the role of book publishing in society, and that that their work will have impact on the lives of others.
As requested by the government of Delhi, AUD will vacate all the (four) schools and programmes currently located at the Dwarka campus by the middle of June 2013 and will move to Kashmere Gate campus. From the next academic session, AUD will operate all its programmes and activities from the Kashmere Gate campus till it is able to build an integrated campus in the land that has been allotted to it in Dheerpur and a smaller campus in Rohini.
