CBSE Class 12 Board results to be declared on May 21

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will declare the Class 12 Board exam results on May 21, 2016 for all regions including Delhi, Ajmer, Chennai, Panchkula and Allahabad. The Class 12 exams were conducted from March 1, 2016 to April 22, 2016. A total of 10,67,900, candidates registered this year for the exams including 6,21,259 boys and 4,46,641 girls. There was a 2.65% increase in the total number of registered candidates as compared to 10,40,368 who registered in 2015. As many as 2,70,835 registered for the exams from Delhi which was the maximum from the 10 regions. About 1,921 students registered in the differently-abled category. Nearly 10,121 participated in the exams. There were 1,06,746 independent candidates from Delhi while 1,49,778 were from Delhi government or government-aided schools. Last year, 10,40,368 students had registered for the Class 12 Board exams.

The post-result CBSE counselling will begin from May 21 and will continue till June 4, daily from 8am to 10pm. For the 19th consecutive year, CBSE will provide counselling services to students and parents to overcome common psychological problems and general queries related to class results.

The CBSE counselling is an outreach programme which is designed after factoring in the heterogeneity of student population and geographical spread. The tele-counselling is largely offered by trained counsellors and principals from within CBSE affiliated schools located in India and outside India. A centralised access system has also been introduced for students (dial toll free number 1800118004). Results will be available at; and The result will be declared by noon.

Starting this year, CBSE will also provide Class 12 digital marksheets in DigiLocker at The DigiLocker account credentials will be sent to students via SMS on their mobile number registered with CBSE.
