Chhattisgarh Class 10 exam results declared, 55.32% students pass

The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) declared the Class 10 board examination results on Thursday.

School education minister Kedar Kashyap announced the result at the CGBSE head office in the state capital Raipur.

The overall pass percentage was 55.32 in the high school examination in which 4,21,333 students had appeared in the state in February and March. Girls performed marginally better than boys with their pass percentage at 55.75 and 54.84 respectively.

In the merit list (top 10) there were 23 students - 12 girls and 11 boys. Only one student from Raipur figured in the top 10 list.

The first position was secured by Hemant Kumar Sahu from Raigarh who got 99%. The second position was jointly obtained by Aakriti Rathore and Shuruchi Sahu from Jangir-Champa district. Both got 97.50%.

Raigarh’s Vartika Kumari who got 97% stood was at the third position.

Last week, the CGBSE declared the results of Class 12 examination in which the overall pass percentage was 73.43. Girls performed better than boys in the intermediate exam.
