The result of Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education’s (CGBSE) Class 12 examinations was declared on Thursday and girls performed better than boys.
School education minister Kedar Kashyap declared the results saying the overall pass percentage was 73.43%. The pass percentage for girls was 75.83 while the same for boys was 71.19.
A total of 2,77,114 students appeared in the board examination out of which 1,43,561 were boys and 1,33,553 were girls.
The first position was secured by Shubham Bakshi of Saraswati Shishu Mandir Bilaspur who got 97.60%. The second position was jointly obtained by Sudhanshu Tiwari of Career Point World School, Bilaspur, and Rantideo Rathore of Saraswati Shishu Mandir in Janjgir district. Both got 97%.
Three students with 95.80% took the third position. They are Shreya Shukla of JR Dani Government Girls Higher Secondary School Raipur, Ayush Pandey of Saraswati Shishu Mandir Raipur and Gaurav Dewangan Government Higher Secondary School Bastar.
