You have to make the choice and this choice would influence the course of your future life. So making the right decision is absolutely important and not getting influenced by what others want is required as well.
Your interest matters
You have to live with the decisions you make so it is important that your interest be kept at the heart of the decision. The opinions of others need to be solicited in order to make an informed choice. Keep in mind your interests, abilities, skills, and knowledge bases that would help you go ahead with your studies and pursue a future career with the chosen subjects as the basis.
