The number of applications for Delhi University undergraduate courses crossed 1 lakh within just three days of the opening of the admission process.
“The number of registrations till 6.30pm on Friday was 1,14,152. A total of 40,582 applicants have completed the entire process, including fee payment,” a statement from DU said.
The university said it had received one application from others category.
“Of the applications completed so far, 20,081 are from boys and 20,500 from girls. One application has been received from others category,” the statement said.
The online registration began on Thursday with 39,000 applications registering on the first day.
The application process this year is fully online. Students will be able to register online till June 19.
The online registration for all categories, including sports, extra curricular activities (ECA), Kashmiri migrants, and CW (Defence), will be online.
The first cutoff list will be out on June 27. Based on this list, the students can take admission till June 30. The second cutoff list will be out on July 1.
This year the university is releasing only five cutoff lists. Aspirants need to log on to the DU portal (www.du.ac.in) to fill the application form.
