Stressing on the importance of moral education, President A P J Abdul Kalam on Friday asked children to wean their adults away from corruption and parents to motivate their kids to desist from TV and Internet addiction.
Kalam, who was addressing a huge gathering at the Brahma Kumaris Academy in Mount Abu, urged the youth and children of the country to motivate their parents in at least 50 million homes which were not transparent to become free of corruption.
Similarly, he said, parents should motivate their children to desist from TV and Internet addictions to save them from cultural pollution and cult of violence. Elaborating on the importance of value component, the President said that 250 million children in India should have access to elementary and school school education where at least one period of moral and value education in a week should form part of school curriculum.
