University officials said that among state boards the maximum number of applications usually came from Uttar Pradesh and Haryana boards. But this year, the trend has changed with Rajasthan and Bihar board students applying in larger numbers to DU.

This year the University has received as many as 8,293 applications are from UP Board students and 3,332 from Haryana Board. The offline and online registration have also received 3,763 applications from Open School students.

“This year the results of Haryana board has not been so good and the pass percentage is also less as compared to earlier years,” a University official said.
The University also received a higher number of applications from male students as compared to female students. DU has also 66 applications in the ‘other category’.
