Triumphant Institute of Management Education (TIME), a test prep institute, is conducting an all-India mock CAT examination on June 29, 2014, which is free of cost for all students. It is an online invigilated test, replicating the test atmosphere of the actual exam.

“The All India Mock CATs (AIMCATs) are tools devised for CAT aspirants. These tests are specially designed with question combinations covering all the test areas and various question types that have appeared in the CAT over the years. Each AIMCAT gives an experience of the exam keeping in mind the difficulty level and time management, and thus provides the student with a realistic idea of their level of preparedness. These exams are a stepping stone to higher levels of preparation by identifying areas of strength and weakness. It helps the students to work out a strategy for the actual exam. The AIMCATs are conducted at a national level. They also provide an opportunity to the students to benchmark their performance against a large student base,” says Ramnath S Kanakadandi, course director (CAT), TIME.

Based on the performance in the free online mock CAT, a student can get attractive discounts from the institute on test series and classroom programmes for CAT 2014 and 2015, which will be subject to the attainment of a certain minimum percentile in each section.

The AIMCATs simulate a number of variations that CAT 2014 could come up with and thereby, through the practice provided, help students develop accuracy and speed for the exam. This is the vital aspect that enables a student to perform well in the CAT. The AIMCAT series is also a tool that helps the student to evaluate performance over a period of time and improve accordingly.

The AIMCAT registration is free for all and students can register at the very last moment. Existing TIME students need not register and can carry their IDs.
