Girls outshine boys in Haryana board Class 10, Class 12 exams

Girls have outshined boys in the first semester examinations of the secondary and senior secondary exams of the Board of School Education, Haryana (BSEH), for which the results were declared on Thursday.
An official spokesperson of the board said that out of 3,31,225 students, who had appeared for the secondary exam(regular), only 1,16,728 passed and out of 2,47,877 students who took the senior secondary exam (regular), 1,40,662 passed the exam.
In the secondary exam, the pass percentage of boys was only 32.52 against 38.51% of girls. Similarly, the pass percentage of girls in the senior secondary exam was 65.78% against 49.66% of boys.
The overall pass percentage in the first semester of secondary exam was only 35.24%, whereas that of the senior secondary exam was 56.75%.
The results have been uploaded on the official website of the boardhttp://www.bseh.org.in.
The examinations are conducted twice in a year for Class 8, 10 and 12th. The first semester exams are held in September while second semester exams are conducted in March. The results are declared within one to two months.
