Have you finished high school? Get an undergraduate degree in tourism

The Oberoi Group has launched the online application process for its systematic training and education programme (STEP). Students finishing their high school are eligible for the course.

The three-year course includes practical on-the-job training with study towards a bachelor of tourism studies degree from the Indira Gandhi National Open University.

The course equips students with specialised skills related to all departments of a hotel. Participants selected for the programme need not pay any fee. In addition, the Oberoi Group will offer a monthly allowance, accommodation, meals on duty, uniform and medical insurance to every participant.

The STEP trainees are also signed up for a bachelor’s degree in tourism studies. They are assited with study material and allotted ample time to be able to prepare for their undergraduate degree.

The STEP graduates may get an opportunity to work with the Oberoi Group as operations assistants, in case there are vacancies.

STEP graduates can alternatively apply for admission to the two-year postgraduate management programmes at the Oberoi Centre of Learning and Development that will make them eligible to apply for executive position with the Oberoi Group.
