As a fresher you are yet to settle down and brace yourself for the rigours of the curriculum at Delhi University for the next three years, but the eateries which dot the campus will serve you well by feeding your stomach as well as your heart.

With places like Big Yellow Door, QD's, Taj Café Coffee Day and the numerous thela wallahs, the north and south campuses of the university are indeed a foodie's paradise.

In north campus, the famous 'kulche wale bhaiya' outside the Delhi School of Economics is the go-to guy if you do not have very deep pockets. His kulchas can satisfy your hunger as well as the epicurean in you in just Rs 20.

Then there are the canteens of Hindu College, Delhi School of Economics and Ramjas College which are famous for their tasty and inexpensive food. Another good thing about these canteens is that they serve a plethora of dishes. You can shout out for paranthas, dosas, noodles and what not!

Momos Point in Kamla Nagar is also affordable for some delicious Chinese food.

If you want to move a notch higher in terms of spending a good portion of your pocket money, then Ricos, QDs and Big Yellow Door are the most famous eating joints in the north campus.

For the students of south campus colleges, there a number of places like QDs, Big Yellow Door, Chicago Pizza and lots more.

The 'roll wale bhaiya' outside Shaheed Bhagat Singh College serves delicious rolls starting from Rs 60 to Rs 150. There is also the famous Rajender da Dhaba in Safdarjung Enclave, which is quite pocket-friendly.

People with a sweet tooth can go to Naturals Ice Cream Parlour in Greater Kailash-II. The Taj Café Coffee Day, which is very close to Jesus and Mary College and Maitreyi College, has girls flocking it almost every day to sip a cup of coffee with friends.

Many south campus students also like going to Hauz Khaz to hang out and have good food at places like Smoke House Deli, Backyard Café and Social. Malls in Saket too have some good eateries like Chilli's and Big Chill Café. However, Hauz Khaz and Saket can burn a hole in your pocket if you plan to drop into these eateries every day.

So, enjoy your plateful and live the life in the campus.
