Jamia adds more room to guest house

Jamia Millia Islamia has built an extension to its guest house for visiting scholars. Governor of Haryana Dr A K Kidwai inaugurated the building, named Maulana Abul Kalam Azad House .

The new facility, meant to serve as a Transit House, has 12 suites, each with two rooms, bathroom and a kitchenette. Built over an area of 300 sq metres, the building has three floors with provision for another floor to be built later. Costing Rs 1.2 lakh this new building has solar heating.

The newly-constructed Maulana Abul Kalam Azad House is built next to the existing University Guest House called Nehru House.
