Complaints of mass copying forced the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) to cancel Tuesday’s Class 10 examination at Higher Secondary School Haran Soibugh, Budgam district in central Kashmir.

“JKBOSE has cancelled today’s Class 10 paper at Higher Secondary School Haran Soibugh in Budgam district over complaints of mass copying,” an official spokesman said on Tuesday.

The action came after education minister Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari directed the authorities to look into the issue after receiving complains about mass copying.

Once the board confirmed that the complaints were genuine, it ordered the cancellation of the paper in that school.
