Students and their parents have been invited to join the counselling session at Lucknow University on May 1
LUCKNOW It is for the first time that Lucknow University is organising a pre-admission counselling on May 1 to help Class 12 students clear their doubts before their admission process starts.
The students and their parents have been invited to join the counselling to be held at 10:30am in the Malviya Hall of the university.
It will start with a power point presentation of the courses being offered by the university and the admission process.
Career counsellor, Amrita Dass, and head, department of psychology, Pallavi Bhatnagar, will conduct the counselling. “It’s a great opportunity for the prospective students seeking admission to undergraduate courses,” SP Singh, vice-chancellor of the university said.
“It is felt that the students after passing their Class 12 are generally confused as to what courses or stream they should pursue,” he said.
The counselling will help such students decide what stream or courses they should pursue.
“After the programme, the students and their parents will get to visit various departments of the university up to 2pm where departments will have their desks set up to respond to the queries of the students regarding courses being run in those departments,” said Narendra K Pandey, spokesperson for the university.
