Hindustan Times Aspirations, organised over the weekend, saw good participation from eager parents and enthusiastic students. Spread over two days the educational extravaganza provided aspirants a single gateway to academic and professional courses available in India and abroad in various conventional and non-conventional streams.
From getting course options to getting their queries addressed by the experts, students made most of the opportunity. “I received some great advice from the counsellor on the various courses I can do besides regular BSc courses. She told me that geology can be a great option and can lead me to a very successful career,” says Ayush Agarwal, a student.
Panellists included Dr Poonam Sethi, head of department, BCom, Hindu College, Prof CS Sharma, economics, SRCC and well-known career counsellor Usha Alberquerque
Many students wanted to know if a BA (programme) would stand them in good stead and if economics will be a better bet than BCom.
The exhibition also offered scholarship opportunities, on the spot admissions etc. to the deserving students. It gave direct access to students to learn and evaluate their career goals and options, have a face-to-face healthy interaction with the widest range of educational options and explore their dreams to make them come true.
