Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University will admit students for the BArch programme in its on-campus University School of Architecture & Planning (USAP) as well.

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University will admit students for the BArch programme in its on-campus University School of Architecture & Planning (USAP) as well. The Council of Architecture has approved the school with an intake of 40 students.
Moreover, the intake has also been enhanced at the university’s existing architecture institute Sushant School of Architecture & Planning from 44 (last year) to 80 for this year. The total number of seats now available for the BArch programme is 120.

Media courses through distance learning
Access Atlantech Edutainment (India), in association with Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), has announced the start of their certificate courses in the distance-learning mode. The admissions for the courses are open and the classes are set to begin by August 2009.
AAT and IGNOU had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the presence of Prof. VN Rajasekharan Pillai, Vice-Chancellor, IGNOU, and other distinguished invitees. Under the MOU, Access Atlantech Edutainment and IGNOU will offer six-month certificate courses in Digital Audio and Digital Production.
The courses offered under this affiliation are: Certificate programme in Creative Media Arts (Digital Audio), certificate programme in Creative Media Arts (Digital Production in Television and Film).
The distance-learning certificate programme will be offered from August 2009 with Contact Programmes scheduled at all the Access Atlantech campuses across India.

Hospitality institute ties up with London B-school
Lakhshya Bhartee Institute of International Hotel Management (LBIIHM), located in Delhi and Greater Noida, has tied up with London School of Business Management. Baskaran Ilangovan, Principal, LSBM and Kamal Kumar, Director, LBIIHM, signed a memorandum of understanding in Delhi. As part of the pact, second-year students from LBIIHM can go to the UK for six months. In six moths, students will study at LSBM for two months and do four months of paid internship at various five-star properties in the UK.

Online mock CAT by coaching institute
Career Launcher, a private coaching provider, is organising the first-ever Open Online Mock CAT test series in major cities between July 25 and August 2. The cities include Delhi/NCR, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Bhubaneswar, Bangalore, Kolkata, Indore, Pune, Chennai, Kochi, Hyderabad, Bhopal, Nagpur, Ahmedabad, and Rajkot, among others.
