“The paper was easy overall. The questions were from basic CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) syllabi. I think I will make it,” said Sriram Singh, an aspirant.

Around 30,000 students in the state took the exam at over 40 centres in Patna and Gaya districts.

Coaching institutes that prepare students for medical entrance tests too said the questions were easier than in the NEET-1, which was held on May 1.

“The paper was not tough at all for students who studied up on basic concepts of physics, chemistry and biology, the three subjects asked in the test. The questions were from NCERT textbooks prescribed in Class 11 and 12 CBSE curriculums,” said Amardeep Jha Gautam, managing director of Elite Institute.

The only hitch medical aspirants might have faced would be in physics, he added. “Even then, the questions were mostly conceptual, which are easier to attempt.”

Allen Classes managing director Rahul Raj said the students who appeared in the Class 12 CBSE examination this year had better chances of clearing the examination, as they were familiar with most of the syllabi.

“Our students found biology the easiest. And those who appeared in the Phase-1 would be overjoyed with the questions asked in Phase-2,” he said.

Both Gautam and Raj pegged the maximum cut-off for general candidates between 500 and 575 out of 720 marks. They said scoring that much would not be a problem for students with sound basic knowledge of the subjects.
